If you notice roof damage, it’s critical that you have an expert roofing contractor look at it as soon as possible. Here at Whitaker Roofing, Salt Lake top residential roofing company, we can help determine if it will be more cost-effective to do a re-roofing, roof replacement or roof repairs. Our roofers are the experts in diagnosing roof repair leaks. Especially, if they are hard to determine leaks where the water is evading your roofing system. We offer a variety of residential roofing services. We have many customers who had a full roof installation by another roofing replacement contractor in which the roof installers cut corners and now they are nowhere to be found to fix the issues. It is frustrating to have a brand-new roof that leaks because old flashing was installed, or ice and water shield was not applied to decking. Whatever the reason we are here to help solve the problem.
There are a variety of signs to watch for that might indicate that you may need a few roof repairs. You should give us a call if you have an asphalt roof and notice missing, curled, or cracked shingles and if any of your shingles appear discolored or wet. If you have a flat TPO membrane roof watch for water pulling to one area or if you notice any puncture holes in the membrane such as from tree branches. If you start to see general wear around the chimney, skylights, swamp cooler or vents, this could be indicative that your roof is starting to suffer significant damage. There might also be sagging or uneven areas of your roof, which could also be structural damage, or more commonly, water damage. Though they might look scary, these can often be narrowed to one area, preventing the need for a full roof replacement.
While you can easily see some of these issues with your roof from the ground, others can be harder to notice, especially if your house is two stories tall. Whitaker Roofing inspectors can use drones to inspect roofs, since local laws usually prohibit home inspectors from climbing on roofs.
(Note: Never climb onto your roof to inspect it. Climbing onto a roof is dangerous and requires special safety equipment.)
When customers call us for help with their roof, we have a procedure that we follow.
Check around and see if you notice any damage or give us a call. We are more than happy to do an inspection and evaluate any potential roof repairs and damage.
